In character

The Heritage of Zandalar is a gathering of trolls who seek safety, community, and to preserve and spread troll culture.

The empires of yore are crumbled. Long gone is the time trolls divided the world between them and ruled it all. We live in the ruins and shadows of our old glory. All but one. The kingdom that never fell to corruption och external enemies. Zandalar. The wisest of us. The lore keepers.

The Heritage of Zandalar seeks to live up to the ideals of the zandalari tribe. To gather and preserve troll lore and history, to educate our allies and friends about it, and to provide a safe haven for trolls of any tribe or creed.

While we work within the Horde we have always been open to trolls of any tribe, and will help them pass as Darkspears if need be. We are not a tribe, we do not ask anyone to give up theirs to join us. Rather, we transcend tribes as we seek to unite as trollkind. Even those who are not trolls are welcome to join us, as long as they have an open mind and an interest in learning.

Our founder, the amani troll Snicka, was lost at sea many years ago. Since his disappearance Ryleen took over leadership and has guided the Heritage through peace and wars ever since.

Out of character

Heritage of Zandalar was originally created as Heritage of Zul'jin on the EU rp-pvp server Scarshield Legion the 13th of April 2006. The guild wasn't originally a pure roleplaying guild, but came to be one during its first few years of existence. In 2007 it began interacting with other roleplaying guilds on the server and found its place within the community.

When new content was added to the game and Zul'jin no longer seemed as much like a hero one should seek to emulate, it was decided that the name would change. On the 8th of march 2008 the guild was reformed as the Heritage of Zandalar.

The guild remained an active part of the roleplaying community on Scarshield Legion up until the release of Cataclysm in december of 2010, where it saw many of its members as well as allied and roleplaying friends in other guilds drop out of the game. In 2011 the guild became dormant.

With the release of Battle for Azeroth the guild is returning to life once more, and is now open for new members once again!
